From Building Buses to Building Freedom
I used to work a rough job building buses on the line at Thomas Built Buses. I wanted to try something new, so I started working with a contractor — we did work for other investors: fixing and flipping houses, and working on landlords' rental properties. That's where I got my first real look at what real estate could do.
Then COVID hit, and I lost that job. I had a good amount of money saved up, and I was tired of renting — I wanted to start building wealth the way the landlords I'd been working for were. So I went to the bank to buy a house.
Since I was self-employed and had just lost my job, the bank looked at me as too risky. It was impossible. That's when I learned creative financing — no banks, no credit checks, no income verification — and it changed my life and my family's life.
The first thing I did with it was buy my own home — on owner financing. No one checked my credit. No one checked my income. No tax returns, nothing. Just an agreement between me and the seller.
Since then, I've done over 100 doors — fix-and-flips, rentals, and wholesales — all without using my own money to buy them. That's exactly what I teach.
